And Into the World, A Star Was Born  
Lance Corey Morel was born 12 October 1979; the middle child of John and Peggy (née David) Morel of New Roads, Louisiana.  His older brother, Lonnie, and he were joined by their little sister, Lacey, and the small family was complete.

Obituary for Lance Corey Morel  
Morel, Lance Corey A gifted guitarist with a passion for music, he died Thursday morning, Oct. 12, 2006, at the age of 26 in Ventress as the result of an automobile accident. He was an ironworker in the construction industry and a lifelong resident of Pointe Coupee Parish who had been residing in Ventress. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home in New Roads on Saturday, Oct. 14, from 9 a.m. until service at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Jeff Conner. Interment in False River Memorial Park. He is survived by his parents, John A. and Peggy David Morel of New Roads; longtime beloved girlfriend, Amber Bourke of Maringouin; sister and fiancé, Lacey Morel and David Bueche, both of Ventress; brother and sister-in-law, Lonnie K. and Bridgett Morel of Livonia; nephew, Carson Morel; niece, Skylar Morel; maternal grandparents, Clarence David and Ida David of New Roads; paternal grandmother, Effie Morel of New Roads; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Eugene Morel Sr. Rest in peace, our precious Lance; you are in God's arms.
